Our dream
Driven by passion and extensive experience, we are a devoted couple of professional sailors with deep roots in the Arctic and marine science. After years of sharing a common dream, it has finally come to life — our own sailboat, and with it, the beginning of our adventure
Our Tilvera
Tilvera is an ancient, profound Icelandic word that stands for “ our existence”, “our presence”.
Tilvera is a wonderful steel ketch built in the Netherlands and originally owned by Heinz Wutschke & Greet Dekker.
In 2023, we took over ownership, and her remarkable legacy continues
She is a strong, highly capable vessel, designed to perform reliably in all kind of weathers and ocean conditions. With more than twenty years of sailing experience around the world—including voyages to both poles and eight expeditions to Antarctica—she has demonstrated exceptional seaworthiness, resilience, and reliability in some of the most demanding environments on Earth.
