After an incredible sailing season exploring the majestic landscapes of Svalbard, Norway, and Greenland, we’ve decided to spend the winter soaking up the sun in beautiful Portugal!
This season has been full of unforgettable adventures, and now we’re looking forward to reconnecting with family, friends, and fellow adventurers who share our love for exploration and the open sea. We’re also excited to announce that Tilvera will have a semi-open boat throughout the winter, welcoming anyone who wants to stop by and visit.
An exciting journey sailing south through Europe
As we sail south, we’re inviting friends, sailors, and other like-minded souls to join us on various legs of the journey. Along the way, we’ll be stopping in Scotland, Ireland, and possibly England before making our way to Vigo (Spain), sailing across the Bay of Biscay. During these stops, we’re eager to gather with friends and collaborators to brainstorm new ideas and plan for the future of Tilvera. This is the perfect opportunity to exchange ideas, share experiences, and chart a course for new horizons together.
Preparing next year´s season and Antarctica!
Although we’re embracing the warmth of the south for now, our thoughts are already turning to next year’s sailing season, which promises even more excitement as we head back to the Arctic region. The adventures don’t stop there, though! This winter, we’ll also be working on a variety of new projects, including some exciting upgrades to the ship. We’re preparing Tilvera for a journey we’ve been dreaming of—our epic Antarctic voyage set for winter 2026. Yes, Antarctica!! We can’t wait to bring this dream to life and explore the frozen wilderness and the penguins, the most iconic animals at the bottom of the world.
In addition to these preparations, we’ll also be working on other smaller but exciting Tilvera projects during the winter months. From content creation to community engagement, we’re looking forward to sharing more about our adventures, the lessons we’ve learned, and our vision for the future. Besides, “work” , our plan is to take our van and travel for one or two weeks’ holiday. We want to explore Pirineos, join some fun concerts and explore some sustainable communities, while we disconnect (a little bit) from the sea =)
